2024 – today

Made in Eberswalde

In tune with the vibrant and inclusive spirit of the theater, we developed a branding. The two founders Nadine and Caro approached us with their vision in mind. Based on a brand personality we developed together, we created a visual identity that makes bold visual statements. Since then, we have been supporting the TheaterWalde team with the development of all communication materials. The project has already won the ADC Talent Award and the Design Prize Brandenburg.

Connecting Culture.

At the core of the branding: pulsating collages where worlds collide—reflecting the claim “Connecting Culture.” These encounters create distinctive visual languages and open up space for messages that are critical, unexpected, and playfully bold.

The Logo

Just like the people at TheaterWalde, the letters in the logo come together – just like twelve individuals gathered around a campfire, sharing stories with one another.

The circle becomes a symbol of equality and humanity, extending beyond the logo into the wider visual language. It reappears in deconstructed circular forms and in the grid-like structure of the collages.

System in action

From digital to analogue – the brand system is an eye-catcher. For the programme, we were inspired by the theater's pragmatic character and created a multi-use programme. It serves both, as an A5 schedule and an A3 poster.

Typography

The monospace typeface Mono45 extends the idea of equality into typography. Each glyph holds the same weight, reinforcing a sense of balance and fairness—while remaining clearly legible, even when layered over imagery.

Award-winning

TheaterWalde was awarded at the ADC Talent Award 2025 and at Brandenburg's Design Award 2025.

"In TheaterWalde, everything feels boldly over-the-top: the coarsely rasterized and collaged imagery, the complementary color scheme, and the event's lettering. All of this sets visually self-confident and anything-but-provincial exclamation marks of Eberswalde's cultural energy within the cityscape."
